The Protect Children association, Zoturi Ltd and Finnair are kicking off a collaboration to support families with children.

Lentävä Läksytuki – Flying Homework Support – starts in our home hub town Vantaa

Lentävä Läksytuki – Flying Homework Support – starts in our home hub town Vantaa, with expansion to other cities being planned.

“Many children need support with their homework in the coronavirus situation. We wanted to do something concrete to help kids and their families. Finnair employees come from versatile educational backgrounds and are interested and willing to help. This is a great starting point for this project,” says Anne Larilahti, VP Sustainability at Finnair.

The Protect Children association has produced guidelines on digital safety together with Zoturi Ltd to be used in the Flying Homework Support program in which Finnair volunteers guide children in their homework through a browser-based platform.

Volunteers provide children with information on how to stay safe on the internet and, at the same time, children will learn why studying languages and math might be important for their future career.

According to the preliminary plan, the Flying Homework Support will be open on Mondays and Wednesdays from 4pm until 6pm until the end of May in Vantaa. The service is free of charge for children and the Flying Homework Support site will also include guidelines and useful material for parents.
