Product Recall Notice regarding a batch of Villi Spring Water

Finn Spring recalls Villi Spring Water with best before date 11 July 2027

Finn Spring, the supplier of spring water bottles for Finnair, has issued a recall for a limited batch of its Villi Spring Water 0.33L products with a best before date of 11 July 2027. According to the manufacturer, internal quality control tests revealed bacterial levels exceeding acceptable limits in this specific production batch.  The bacteria revealed in the quality control tests were coliforms and Pseudomonas aeruginosa.  

This bottled water was available on selected Finnair flights and was promptly removed from service on Tuesday, 9 September 2025, immediately following the recall notice. Unfortunately, we are unable to target communications to customers on a flight-by-flight basis, as the affected bottles were part of a limited batch and were not present on every flight. 

The spring water currently being served on our flights comes from a different production batch and meets all quality standards.  

The safety and wellbeing of our customers is our highest priority. We sincerely apologise for any concern or inconvenience this situation may have caused.
