Major update for Finnair app

From booking trips and checking in to viewing real-time flight info and Avios balance, the Finnair app is our customers’ favorite channel for travelling.

To cater for your needs today and in the future, we are giving the 10-year-old app a major refresh this autumn. The features you love and use are still there but with a brand new look and feel. And, we also added a few new features we hope you’ll welcome.

Update will become gradually available:

App update will gradually be available to everyone by the end of November 2026 at the latest.
To get the update as soon as it is available, you can turn on automatic app updates in your app store settings.
After receiving the update, you'll need your Finnair Plus membership number and password to log in again. If you're travelling in November, we recommend keeping your login details easily available.

Brand new look and feel

When you open the updated app, the first thing you’ll notice is the new look and feel, matching the Finnair website. However, the update is not just visual polish – there's a lot more going on.

With this update, we’re introducing an optional dark mode. Dark mode can be a matter of preference but also an important option for people with low vision or light sensitivity and generally gives more control over the visual experience.

The Finnair app also now supports the Swedish language. You can now use the Finnair app in English, Finnish and Swedish.

Designed with our customers

For this update, we worked closely with our customers to make sure the app helps you on your day of travel and between your trips. We put the relevant flight information just where our customers want it for easy access on the go.

Adding comfort to your trip is now easier with the new shopping cart feature. You can purchase several travel extras in one go and complete your payment quickly using your preferred payment method.

Booking trips via the app has also become smoother and faster. When you have selected your next destination, as a Finnair Plus member you can now proceed to a quick checkout for your purchase.

Home for Finnair Plus

The Finnair app is now your home for everything related to Finnair Plus. Checking your tier status, Avios balance and transactions, as well as managing your account, are all just a tap away.

What’s more, all your Finnair Plus benefits are now listed in the app, to make sure you won’t miss out on any membership perks.
