How much does it cost to transport my skiing equipment?

The fee for skiing equipment depends on the baggage allowance of your ticket as well as how much other baggage you're taking with you. For example, if your ticket entitles you to take one piece of baggage (your ticket bears the code "1 PC"), you can carry free of charge a suitcase or a ski bag (max. 23 kg). If you want to carry both, an extra charge applies. Always inform our customer service if you are travelling with skis.

If ski shoes are packed in a separate bag, it also counts as one item of checked baggage, and an extra bag charge applies.

Example:
When baggage allowance is 1 piece:

  • carry-on baggage + suitcase + ski bag = one extra bag charge applies
  • carry-on baggage + ski bag = no extra charge
  • carry-on baggage + ski bag + ski shoe bag = one extra bag charge applies
  • carry-on baggage + suitcase + ski bag + shoe bag = two extra bag charges apply

Ski jumping equipment and other skis longer than 220 cm (79 in) are counted as oversized items and a heavy bag charge applies. A prior approval is needed from the airline.
