Finnair Plus Silver

Carry-on bag

As a Finnair Plus Silver member, you can take one complimentary carry-on bag (55 cm x 40 cm x 23 cm / 22 in x 16 in x 9 in) when travelling with an Economy Superlight ticket on Finnair short-haul flights. This is in addition to the small bag (40 cm x 30 cm x 15 cm / 16 in x 12 in x 6 in) normally included in Superlight tickets, which must be placed under the seat in front of you.

Checked bag

At the Silver tier, you get 50% off your first checked bag (max. 23 kg / 50 lb) purchased in advance. The discount doesn’t apply to special baggage such as sports equipment that’s larger or heavier than a standard checked bag.

To get the discount:

• the flight needs to be operated and marketed by Finnair, and
• the purchase must be made through Finnair’s digital channels or customer service in advance.

Check-in

At the Silver tier, you can use priority check-in with your travel partners for all Finnair flights (AY code on the ticket and flight operated by Finnair or Norra) and other oneworld flights, regardless of travel class.

Priority security

You can use the faster priority security lane at security control when you're travelling on a Finnair flight (AY code on the ticket and flight operated by Finnair or Norra) with the Silver tier. The benefit is available only to you.

Lounge

As a Silver member, you can access Finnair Business Lounges at Helsinki Airport at a discount when travelling on Finnair flights (AY code on the ticket).

The discounted price is €30 or 4,800 Avios per person. You'll get the discount when you buy lounge access in advance through our digital channels.

Everyone travelling on the same booking as you gets the same discounted price. The discount isn't available for group bookings.

Please note that you can only access the Finnair Lounge on the Schengen side when your flight departs from the Schengen area, and the Finnair Lounge on the non-Schengen side when your flight departs from the non-Schengen area.

All passengers over 2 years of age require their own lounge access.

Seat reservation

At the Silver tier, you’ll get a 50% discount on seat reservations for Finnair flights (excluding Comfort seats and seats with extra legroom). See all the Finnair seat types and select your seat.

Internet access

As a Silver member, you can enjoy internet access on one device throughout your Finnair flight (AY code on the ticket) on all our Airbus aircraft.

• Within Europe, the Stream package supports video and audio streaming, web browsing and messaging. Available from take-off to landing on Finnair flights operated with our Airbus A321, A320 and A319 aircraft.
• Primarily on long-haul, the Browse package supports messaging, email and light web browsing. Available shortly after take-off on Finnair flights operated with our Airbus A350 and A330 aircraft.
• The Nordic Sky portal is also available on all our Airbus flights. In the portal, you can read newspapers and magazines, listen to audiobooks and see the flight map, for example.

More Avios and tier points

On the Silver tier, the money you spend on Finnair flights and travel extras is multiplied by 7 to calculate how many Avios and tier points you'll earn. That means you’ll collect 7 Avios and 7 tier points per €1 spent. Find out more about collecting Avios from flights.

In addition:

• You'll collect Avios and tier points with the same 7x multiplier on Finnair codeshare flights. However, the multiplier doesn't apply to travel extras on codeshare flights.
• You’ll earn 10% more Avios and tier points on top of the standard earning rate for American Airlines, British Airways and Iberia flights (AA/BA/IB code on the ticket).
