The Finnish Aviation Union (IAU) has announced industrial action affecting ground operations at Helsinki Airport on 2, 4, 7, 16, 18, 21, and 23 July 2025. We are currently assessing the impact on our flights and will update any new information on this page. We currently do not have further information regarding potential flight cancellations or delays, as we are still assessing the impact on our flights. Please note, that our customer service does not have more detailed information regarding potential disruptions or cancellations of flights on industrial action dates, than what is provided in this article.

Your options if you are travelling on industrial action dates 02, 04 or 07 July 2025

• Contacting our customer service or the ticket issuer: You can change your travel date free of charge up to your departure day by contacting our customer service. Your new journey must begin no later than 30 September 2025. If you purchased your ticket through other service provider than Finnair, such as a travel agency, please contact them directly.
• Changes in Manage booking: If your ticket type allows, you can reschedule your journey through Manage booking. Change fees and fare differences need to be paid when making the change. However, if your new journey starts by 30 September 2025, you can submit a claim afterwards. Please note that due to high demand, claim processing may take longer than usual. Thank you for your understanding.

If you are travelling on industrial action dates 16, 18, 21 or 23 July 2025

• We are currently assessing the impact of the upcoming industrial action on our flight operations. Based on current evaluations, we expect that the disruptions on these dates will be less severe than disruptions expected during the strikes on 02, 04, and 07 July. As a result, customers are not advised to make changes to their travel plans at this time. We will update this page with new information as soon as it becomes available.
