Economy Class on intercontinental flights

Finnair Economy Class offers you everything you need for an enjoyable travel across continents. The roomy seats are equipped with a foldable table and a personal in-flight entertainment system, and we have a Marimekko for Finnair collection of pillow and blanket reserved for you on your seat.

There’s also a USB plug for charging handheld devices on the A350 aircraft and an electricity socket (no adaptor needed) on all other flights.

Economy Class on flights within Europe and the Middle East

With Finnair Economy Class, you get everything you need for an enjoyable flight, and even more. In addition to the comfortable and roomy seat and the pleasant atmosphere of the aircraft, we will offer you refreshing drinks during the flight.

To make your travel even more comfortable, you can reserve a seat with 7.5 cm (3 in) of extra legroom conveniently through Manage booking. The seats also include boarding among the first customers.

To thoroughly enjoy your flight and enjoy your arrival at your destination to the fullest, you must remain energetic and refreshed. This is why we offer you refreshing drinks and delicious meals on board to keep you comfortable for the entire duration of your flight.

Food and drinks on intercontinental flights

When flying in Finnair Economy Class on intercontinental routes, you’ll receive a generous hot meal accompanied by a selection of beverages. We have various on-flight beverage options and on some flights alcoholic beverages are not complimentary. On most long-haul flights, we’ll also serve you an additional snack. The fresh Marimekko for Finnair collection of tableware add the finishing touch to the on-board dining experience.

You can also upgrade the first complimentary meal to one of our delicious pre-order meals on selected intercontinental routes departing from Helsinki. There are four high-quality options to choose from and the meals are served on porcelain dishes and with steel cutlery.

Food and drinks on short-haul flights

On our Economy Class flights within Europe and the Middle East, we serve you complimentary coffee, tea and our signature drink – blueberry juice. For most routes, you can also pre-order a delicious meal, or mix and match your favourite tastes with our in-flight onboard selection.

What’s more, you now have the option to book a new Seat and Meal package, including a meal, seat and boarding among the first customers.

When flying within Finland, we serve you coffee, tea and juice. The onboard selection is also available on flights to northern Finland.

Entertainment and working on board

Finding ways to keep yourself busy for the entire duration of your flight is not a struggle on Finnair flights. We offer multiple different entertainment and working options on board. With our entertainment system, you can watch films, TV shows and play games, from take off to landing. With our on-board internet connection, you can now easily finish off work tasks or browse the internet on your device

Entertainment on intercontinental flights

During your flight in Finnair Economy Class there are multiple ways to keep yourself entertained. All seats are equipped with a personal entertainment system and video screen with a wide selection of movies, TV shows and games available on demand. On our A350 flights you can also enjoy the new state-of-the-art Nordic Sky seatback entertainment system with a wide selection of services, including in-flight shopping. There’s also a personal copy of our in-flight magazine Blue Wings in your seat pocket.

On-board internet connection is available on all our intercontinental flights. In Economy Class, you can purchase full internet access for one hour, three hours or for the whole flight. Finnair Plus Gold members can enjoy complimentary internet access for one hour. For Finnair Plus Platinum members, the service is complimentary for the whole flight.

In Finnair Shop you can pre-order tax-free products for your flight online, conveniently from the comfort of your own home. Make your purchases, and they will be delivered to your seat on board the aircraft directly, safely packed and without any additional costs.

At Helsinki Airport, you can visit the Finnair Travel Outlet or the Finnair Sky Shop to have a look at our wide selection of products. If you visit the Non-Schengen lounge at Helsinki Airport, stop by at the Lounge Shop to have a look at gifts and souvenirs.

In the Nordic Sky portal on board selected flights, you can shop from our wide variety of tax-free cosmetics, beverages, confectionery and more. Make your purchase on your first flight, and your products will be waiting for you on your return flight.
