Inflight karaoke to elevate your onboard experience
We have long been known for connecting people and cultures. Now, we’re taking it one note higher. From 1 April 2026, we’re introducing inflight karaoke on all our flights.
From the harmonious hum of our cabins to the occasional clink of a coffee cup, our flights have traditionally been a place of peace and quiet. However, we have listened closely to our customers and are now ready to offer something truly unforgettable: inflight karaoke.
Available at cruising altitude, our new karaoke service allows customers to browse a carefully curated song library directly from the inflight entertainment system or the Finnair app. Whether you prefer timeless Finnish classics, heavy metal or emotional power ballads, there’s something for everyone. For those travelling in Business Class, voice-cancelling microphones ensure a premium singing experience.
“Air travel is about creating memories. With karaoke, we’re giving our customers the chance to be part of something bigger in an entirely new way,” Kari Oke, Head of High Notes explains.
The concept is a natural next step in our journey of bold innovations. In recent years, we have proudly expanded our network with direct flights to Mars, welcomed Santa Claus to the flight deck, refreshed our iconic blueberry juice with handpicked strawberries from the red planet and even launched the world’s first inflight sauna. Karaoke now brings all these elements together: a touch of Finnish quirkiness, warmth and something unexpected for you to experience.
The song selection has been thoughtfully curated to reflect our Finnish roots and global reach. You may find yourself singing Finnish melancholic melodies while flying over the thousands of lakes of our beautiful home country, or international chart-toppers somewhere above the clouds over the Atlantic. And for those feeling shy, a “duet mode” allows you to perform together with your travel companion.
As with all our onboard offerings, customer comfort remains a priority. For every flight, we’ll also have five pairs of noise-cancelling headphones available. First come, first served. Quiet hours will be observed, and you can vote to opt out of the karaoke experience via the inflight entertainment system.
We believe inflight karaoke will bring a new kind of joy to you. It’s a moment to let go, have fun, and maybe discover a hidden talent somewhere between departure and arrival.
