Customer Feedback

If you would like to give feedback or make a complaint, we recommend to contact our Customer Relations team by filling the web form.

We suggest contacting us by filling the web form instead of contacting by email, normal mail or fax. Web form contacts can be handled much faster than contacts from other channels.

If the passenger cannot reach an agreement with Finnair Customer Relations, the passenger may contact the local consumer body for inquiries. An Online Dispute Resolution platform, set up by the European Commission, provides easy access to alternative dispute resolution (ADR). Please note however that Finnair is not currently subscribed to an approved ADR scheme, and therefore neither the ODR platform nor any approved ADR providers will be able to accept your complaint.

You can log your complaint with CAA’s Passenger Advice and Complaints Team (PACT) by completing the online complaint form via the CAA website. Under the subtitle ‘How the CAA can Help’ please click on the link ‘Refer your complaint to us’. You can then access the CAA’s consumer portal, where you can submit your complaint to PACT.


In the My Privacy service you can edit your cookie and direct marketing settings, and access and request data about your activity and history as our customer.

Delayed or damaged baggage

If your baggage doesn’t arrive on the same flight with you, please contact the Arrival Service desk in the arrivals hall where a delayed baggage report will be created.

Lost property

If you have accidentally left a personal item:

On our aircraft in Finland

From 9 September 2023 onwards, the item will be handed over to Excess Baggage Company.

Items forgotten before 9 September 2023 can be enquired from Suomen Löytötavarapalvelu. Please visit their website for contact information.

On our aircraft outside of Finland

Please contact the local airport’s lost and found office. Depending on the item and who finds it (flight crew or cleaning company), it may also be handed to a Finnair ground handling agent who will send it back to Finland to Excess Baggage Company.

Please note that if you’ve lost a passport on a flight to or from the non-Schengen area, it will be given to Finnish Border Control. Passports left on flights within the Schengen area will be given to the Excess Baggage Company.

Tobacco products and alcohol left on the aircraft are given to Helsinki Airport Customs Passenger Control.

At Helsinki Airport 

All items found at the terminals or parking areas of the airport are taken to the Excess Baggage Company service desk.
