Match your tier to Finnair Plus Silver or Gold

Enjoy valuable perks and smoother travel when you fly with Finnair. If you are a member of SAS' loyalty program EuroBonus, you can take advantage of the status match offer! All you need to do is join Finnair Plus, make a new booking for a Finnair flight to or from the US, Asia, Dubai or Doha and email us.

Your flight must be marketed and operated by Finnair and booked by 7 June 2024. Make sure the travel date of your flight is between 30 April–30 November 2024.

If you are already a Finnair Plus member, your current Finnair Plus tier tracking period will reset to the date of the tier match. Finnair Plus tier status is valid for a year.

Eligible statuses for a match

SAS EuroBonus Silver members will be matched with Finnair Plus Silver tier.
SAS EuroBonus Gold, Diamond and Pandion members will be matched with Finnair Plus Gold tier.
Finnair Plus Platinum and Platinum Lumo tiers will not be available for the match.

Follow these simple steps to enroll

Log in as a member. If you are not yet a member, join now – it’s free and easy!
Book a Finnair flight to or from the US, Asia, Dubai or Doha.
Send an email to loyaltystatus@finnair.com including
- email subject: Status match
- your first name and family name
- your contact details: email and phone number
- a photograph of your valid frequent flyer card as an attachment
- your Finnair Plus membership number
- booking reference number of the booking that includes an eligible Finnair flight

Once you send us an email, we will review your application within 14 days. If your application is accepted successfully, you will get a greetings email about your new Finnair Plus tier.

Status match

You are eligible for the status match after booking an eligible flight. You do not need to have flown the flight before requesting the status match.
Flights booked before the offer are eligible, but the travel dates must be between 30 April–30 November 2024.
You can be matched to Finnair Plus Silver or Finnair Plus Gold tiers. Finnair Plus tier status is valid for a year.
If you are already a Finnair Plus member, your current Finnair Plus tier tracking period will reset to the date of the tier match.
Standard requalification rules apply to renew the status after the tier tracking period ends. 
In case of booking cancellation, the tier match will be removed.

Finnair Plus retains the right to end the offer before the planned end date.

Eligible booking for the status match

Booking period: until 7 June 2024.
Travelling period: 30 April–30 November 2024.
Routes: All Finnair long-haul flights to and/or from the US or Asia, including Doha and Dubai.
Eligible ticket types: Economy Light, Economy Classic, Economy Flex, Premium Economy Light, Premium Economy Classic, Premium Economy Flex, Business Light, Business Classic, Business Flex; includes campaign fares.
Award, free, contract or travel industry discount fare tickets are excluded.
The flight must be marketed and operated by Finnair (flight number begins with AY).
One-way booking is permitted.
Award flights are excluded from this offer.
Remember to add your Finnair Plus member number to your reservation.
