Our selection for Economy Class flights includes savoury sandwiches and tasty light or hot meals with wine and coffee or tea as well as a dedicated Kids’ meal depending on your route.

You can pre-order meals when booking flights, via the Manage booking page, the Finnair app or during online check-in, depending on the availability.

Economy Class

When flying in most of the Finnair Economy Class on short-haul routes, you have the option to pre-order a sandwich or a meal to enjoy on board.

If your flight is operated and marketed by Finnair, you can pre-order your meal while making your booking, via the Manage booking page, through the Finnair app or during online check-in depending on availability.

Northern Finland and most two to four-hour European flights

You can pre-order a light meal or sandwich combos when flying with Finnair to or from destinations including, but not limited to:

  • in Northern Finland
  • in Central Europe
  • in Northern Europe
  • and in parts of Southern Europe: Malaga, Alicante, Lisbon and Rome.

Light meals and sandwiches must be ordered at least 7 hours before departure on flights departing from Helsinki and 24 hours before departure for all other flights

You can check the menu prices and availability when booking your flights, later via Manage my booking, the Finnair app or during online check-in. Please note that there is a limited amount of meals available per flight. If the purchase is not successful, it means the quota may be full.

Pre-order meals are available only on Finnair and Norra operated flights, they are currently not available on Madrid, Barcelona, Bergen and Tromsø flights. Kindly see details from Travel updates.

The onboard food or beverage offering is not available on our shortest and domestic regional flights for operational reasons.

Southern European leisure flights, over four hours

You can pre-order a tasty hot meal of your choice, paired with a drink or coffee or tea when flying with Finnair to or from destinations including, but not limited to:

  • in parts of Southern Europe: the Canary Islands, Funchal, Greece, Turkey

Hot meals with a matching drink and a special meal for kids are available for pre-order only for flights to holiday destinations. The pre-ordered lunch/dinner includes an 18.75cl piccolo bottle of red wine which can be changed to white wine, soft drink or beer. Please note that the drink offering is subject to availability and accept our apologies if your first choice of drink is not available onboard the flight.

Pre-order meals for flights to holiday destinations must be ordered at least 16 hours before departure for flights departing from Helsinki and 36 hours before departure for all other flights.
