Gift card terms and conditions

The following applies to all Finnair gift cards, including those given as compensation.

Usage

• You can use one gift card per purchase. Combining gift cards is not possible.
• Finnair gift cards are not personal. You can send the gift card to someone else or use it to purchase flights for others.
• If the gift card's value doesn't cover the total, you can pay the remaining sum using another payment option (except Avios – currently, it is not possible to combine a gift card and Avios).
• If the total is less than the gift card's value, the remaining balance stays on the gift card until its expiry date.
• You cannot use Finnair gift cards for travel class upgrades, award bookings, bookings paid with money and Avios or onboard purchases.

Expiry

• Finnair gift cards expire one year from the date of receipt.
• Finnair always refunds to the customer's original payment method, including gift cards. If we refund a purchase to an already expired gift card, its validity automatically extends up to three months (from the refund date).

Gift cards and Finnair Plus

• Finnair Plus members can collect Avios for flights booked with a gift card, just as they would on any other booking.
• Finnair Plus members cannot collect Avios when buying gift cards on the Finnair Shop.

General

• Finnair issues gift cards only in euros.
• Finnair does not convert unused vouchers or any part of them into gift cards.
• Finnair reserves the right to cancel gift cards if fraud or misuse is suspected.
• Finnair is not responsible for lost gift cards.
