Two-factor authentication for Finnair Plus accounts

At Finnair, your safety is our priority – in the air, on the ground and online. By enabling two-factor authentication for your Finnair Plus account, you help us keep your personal information and Avios safe.

Benefits of two-factor authentication

  • Provides extra protection – Even if someone gets hold of your password, your account is still protected by another authentication method.
  • Keeps your Avios safe – Avios is a valuable currency you can use for anything from an in-flight coffee to an entire award flight.

You can enable two-factor authentication on the Update profile page of your account.

Two-factor authentication is a security feature that helps protect your Finnair Plus account by verifying your identity in two ways when you log in.

After entering your password, you’ll be asked to enter a one-time verification code. The code can be sent to your email or generated by an authenticator app on your phone. This extra step helps prevent unauthorised access to your account.

Protect your account and win Avios

Enable two-factor authentication on your Finnair Plus account by 26 October 2025 for a chance to win 10,000 Avios.

All Finnair Plus members who have set up two-factor authentication by that date will be automatically entered into the draw. One lucky winner will be drawn by 30 October.

Time and eligibility to participate 
You can participate in the draw by enabling two-factor authentication for your Finnair Plus account by 26 October 2025. 

The draw is open to all natural persons registered as Finnair Plus members who have enabled two-factor authentication for their Finnair Plus account. Finnair Plc’s personnel involved in arranging this draw and their family members are not eligible to participate.

The Organiser has the right to verify the membership status and exclude any entries that have not been made in accordance with these terms and conditions. 

Prize  
We will draw one (1) time 10,000 Avios. 

Selection of winners and awarding of the prize 
One (1) winner will be drawn by 30 October 2025. The winner will receive 10,000 Avios and will be contacted personally by email. 

Avios are valid for 18 months from the latest Avios activity date. 

If the participant has provided incorrect or incomplete contact information or the prize cannot be delivered to the winner within fourteen (14) days of the draw of the winners for reasons other than those attributable to the Organiser, the Organiser is not obliged to deliver the prize or corresponding compensation to the winner. Prizes are personal and non-transferable. 

Taxes 
The Organiser is not responsible for any taxes relating to the prize, except for the possible Draws Tax in Finland. You are responsible for any other taxes.  

Processing of personal data 
By taking part in the draw, you consent to the processing of your personal data by the Organiser for the purposes of the draw. Your participation in the draw is totally voluntary, and withdrawal of your consent does not affect its validity prior to the withdrawal.   

The draw between all participants will be carried out using the participant’s first name, last name and Finnair Plus membership number. As a result of the draw, the Organiser selects one (1) winner, whose first name, last name and email address will be used for contacting the winner personally by email concerning the win in the draw. This information will be processed only for the purposes of implementing and carrying out the draw, as well as delivering the prize to the winner.

Your options for two-factor authentication

You have two options for two-factor authentication on your Finnair Plus account:

  • Email: A one-time verification code will be sent to your email each time you log in.
  • Authenticator app: Your chosen app will generate a one-time verification code when you log in.

Still using text messages for authentication? Finnair Plus is discontinuing two-factor authentication via text message. To keep your account secure, please switch to email or an authenticator app. Just log in and follow the instructions in your profile.

How to set up two-factor authentication

Follow these steps to enable two-factor authentication for your Finnair Plus account:

  1. Log in to your Finnair Plus account.
  2. Go to the Two-factor authentication section under Update profile.
  3. Choose your preferred method: email or an authenticator app.
  4. Follow the on-screen steps to complete the setup.

Please note: Two-factor authentication can only be set up on the Finnair website – not in the Finnair app.
