Why can’t I buy tickets with a Visa card which is issued by a Chinese bank?

Currently Visa Inc. cannot authorize payments that are done in mainland China. Bookings with departure in China are paid with the local currency, and they are treated as purchases made within China. In our customer service in China we accept American Express, Mastercard and Visa issued in countries other than China. Online bookings can also be paid with Alipay and UnionPay.

Outside of China, Visa cards issued by a Chinese bank are accepted.
