What is a medical clearance and when do I need one?
Most people with existing medical conditions are able to fly without difficulty. However, certain precautions sometimes need to be taken and in some cases, we request a medical clearance through a medical information form (MEDIF) to assess your fitness to fly. You can complete the first part of the form yourself and your treating doctor must complete the second part.
E.g. recent hospitalisation, injury or surgery may require medical clearance. Read more and download the medical information form (MEDIF).
