What can I get refunded?
Situations change – if you can't use your Finnair flight ticket or a travel extra for some reason, you may be able to get a full or partial refund, depending on your ticket type.
Once you've cancelled your booking, we'll refund any eligible amount to your original payment method.
Refunds for flight tickets
Use Manage booking if:
- Your flight hasn't departed yet, and you want to cancel your booking.
- You also want to request refund for travel extras together with your flight ticket.
- Finnair cancelled your flight, and you don't want to travel anymore.
- If there were no alternative flights or you didn't receive your travel extra, use the refund form.
- You booked within the last 24 hours, and your flight departs in 7 or more days (24-hour cancellation policy)
Refunds requested in Manage booking are handled with no service fee and usually within 2–4 days.
Refunds for travel extras and other cases
Use the refund form for:
- A travel extra (like a seat or meal) that you paid for but didn't receive, on a flight you've already taken
- Bookings that can no longer be refunded in Manage booking
If you request a refund through the form after you didn’t show up on your flight and it has departed, we'll deduct a €50 service fee per ticket (or equivalent in local currency) for Classic, Light and Superlight ticket types.
Send only one refund request per booking. Duplicates may delay your refund.

Processing your request involves using personal data, so please share only the details we ask for. See the Finnair Privacy Notice.
