BERLIN FLIGHTS TO BE OPERATED TO/FROM BRANDENBURG AIRPORT AS OF 8 NOVEMBER

Berlin’s new airport Berlin Brandenburg will open on 31st of October 2020. We will start operating all our Berlin flights to/from Berlin Brandenburg Airport terminal 1 from 8th of November 2020 onwards. Until 7th of November all our flights to/from Berlin will depart from and arrive at Tegel Airport, which then will be closed permanently.

Flight cancellations to/from Israel in March-April

The authorities of Israel restrict travelling to Israel and require a quarantine of 14 days for all nationalities arriving the country. For this reason, we are cancelling flights to/from Tel Aviv and Eilat in March-April.

Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Finland has updated their travel advice and advises to avoid unnecessary travel in the Tirol region in Austria due to the coronavirus situation. The authorities in Vietnam have changed the visa requirements and Finnish citizens can’t temporarily travel to Vietnam without a visa.

DAT LT may operate some Finnish and regional flights 3 February–21 March 2020

Due to temporal lack of aircraft, Finnair leases an ATR aircraft and crew from DAT LT, a Lithuanian subsidiary of Danish Air Transport. From 3 February 2020, the leased aircraft will operate some of our Finnish and regional routes. Read more for further information.

Finnair is adjusting the flight route to Dubai due to the escalated situation in Iran

Changes on flights to/from Kuusamo on 12–30 August

Due to runway maintenance, Kuusamo Airport will be closed from 12–30 August 2019 and our flights between Helsinki and Kuusamo will not be operated. Instead, you can fly with us between Helsinki and Rovaniemi, and there will be a bus connection between Rovaniemi Airport and Kuusamo Airport.

Finnair temporarily leases extra capacity from DAT LT

Due to temporal lack of aircraft, Finnair leases an ATR aircraft and crew from DAT LT, a Lithuanian subsidiary of Danish Air Transport. The leased aircraft will operate some of our Finnish and regional routes from 27 Dec 2018 to 12 May 2019 if necessary.

Possible changes in domestic and regional flights

Norra’s pilot union FAPA ry. has informed about working restrictions regarding standby work of their pilots as of Dec 1, 2018. As Norra operates many of our domestic and regional flights, cancellations are possible due to these working restrictions.

Due to airspace closure of Pakistan, some Finnair flights are unfortunately disrupted. The disrupted flights are between Helsinki and Thailand, Vietnam, Singapore and Delhi. Affected customers will be contacted directly by Finnair’s customer service.

DAT LT operates some Finnish and regional flights until 19 Decembeer

Finnair leases an ATR aircraft and crew from DAT LT, a Lithuanian subsidiary of Danish Air Transport. The leased aircraft will operate some of our Finnish and regional routes from 15 April to 19 December 2019, if necessary. During that time all cabins of Norra’s ATR fleet will be renewed.
