Frequently asked questions

I have diabetes, can I carry my medication on board?

Yes, you can take diabetes injection supplies, such as insulin pens and needles and glucose monitors, into the cabin. However, note that we can’t store medication in the aircraft’s refrigerators. If your medication needs to be kept cool, please talk to your pharmacist about different options.

Please pack your medication in a separate bag, preferably in the original packaging. Also bring the prescriptions in English for any prescription medications; especially if your condition requires treatment with injectable medication. This will make inspections easier at customs and security checkpoints.

Note that, for example, glucose monitors should not be exposed to X-rays. Please check the instructions of your device. It's recommended to inform security personnel about your devices.
