What are tier points?

Tier points determine your Finnair Plus membership tier. Unlike Avios, they can’t be used for purchases – they only help you move up tiers.

You collect tier points when you fly with Finnair or oneworld airlines, pay for travel extras like seats and baggage, or use a Finnair Visa credit card (available in Finland). Read more about collecting tier points.

Tier points are tracked over a personal 12-month period, which you can find in the Finnair app and your Finnair Plus account. Collect enough points within that time, and you’ll move up a tier. At the start of each new period, your tier points reset to zero.
