What are the baggage allowances for infants and children?
Infants (0–2 years old) have no carry-on allowance but can have one piece of checked baggage when travelling with the Classic or Flex ticket type. Please note the Light ticket type has no baggage allowance. Regardless of travel class, checked baggage for infants has a maximum weight of 23kg (50lb).
A child (2–11 years old) with her or his own seat has the same basic baggage allowance as an adult travelling in the same travel class. This applies to both carry-on baggage and checked baggage.
When travelling with the ticket type Light, infants don’t have baggage allowance, but a folding pushchair and safety seat may be transported free of charge as checked baggage. Safety seats and/or folding pushchairs may be taken into the cabin, space and safety regulations permitting.
When a child is under 7 years old and travelling with Light, there is no checked baggage allowance but a folding pushchair and safety seat may be transported free of charge. When a child has her or his own seat, a safety seat may be taken into the cabin, space and safety regulations permitting. A folding pushchair also may be allowed in the cabin, space and safety regulations permitting, but please note that it is considered part of the carry-on allowance.
If needed, checked baggage can be added separately for a fee.
