We have served our signature blueberry juice onboard Finnair flights since 2014, but now it’s time for a change. We have decided to change our blueberry juice to strawberry juice as of 1 April 2024.

De-icing is an important part of flight preparations and safe operation in winter. Our home hub, Helsinki Airport, has excellent de-icing capabilities, which ensures efficient traffic even in winter frosts. Finnair is one of Europe's most punctual airlines despite the challenging winter conditions in the north.

Finnair has won the tender organised by the Finnish Transport and Communications Agency Traficom on extension period for state-subsidised scheduled air services between five regional airports in Finland – Kajaani, Kemi, Kokkola, Joensuu, and Jyväskylä – and Helsinki.

In February and April-May 2024, Finnair will collect data on the average weight of customers and their carry-on baggage, when departing from Helsinki Airport. The data, collated at our home hub, will be used for future aircraft balance calculations.

With the help of the Finnair Plus award point collaboration, long-distance patients and their families are flown to children's university hospitals and back home to recover from heavy treatment periods.
