Handling of delayed baggage heavily congested
Handling of delayed baggage during summer may be congested. A large amount of baggage has been delayed due to congested baggage handling at many airports. We will deliver your baggage to you as soon as possible.
A large amount of baggage has been delayed due to congested baggage handling at many airports. Due to the circumstances and shortage of baggage handling staff the delivery of delayed baggage takes currently longer than normally and can take some days.
At the moment the most problematic airports are Amsterdam, Copenhagen, Dallas, Edinburgh, Frankfurt, London-Heathrow, Los Angeles and Stockholm-Arlanda, and unfortunately delivering baggage from these airports can take a long time.
We suggest you clearly label all your baggage, inside and out, with your name and contact details, such as a mobile number and email address.
Also, customer service regarding delayed baggage via phone and email is currently congested. We are sorry for the inconvenience and thank you for your patience in waiting for your baggage.
If your baggage hasn’t arrived, please do the following:
- Create a delay report for your baggage online. Please remember to fill all information correctly, for example fill your first and last names to the right fields. This helps you to follow the status of your baggage later.
- You can then follow the status of your baggage through WorldTracer service using your last name and the report number.
- In case your baggage has not been found within 72 hours, please provide us with more information through this form.
- We will contact you personally to organise the delivery of your baggage, after it has arrived.
In case your baggage was delayed, you can apply for compensation from your insurance company or from us. We compensate reasonable costs of necessary items you purchase during your trip. Please send your request to us through this feedback form. We ask you to do it within 21 days of receiving your baggage. Please keep all the documents until your request is fully resolved.
