Disabled Passengers Needing Assistance

DPNA SSR code is for disabled persons with intellectual or development disability or similar difficulties (for example Alzheimer's, Down’s Syndrome, autism, dementia, cognitive impairment or other learning difficulties), but who are still self-reliant, independent and capable of taking care of all their physical needs onboard the aircraft.

The passenger may need assistance at the departure airport, transfer airport and at the arrival airport.

The passenger should be able to:

  • use the toilet
  • eat
  • take medication
  • self-lift
  • communicate adequately to understand safety and emergency instructions.

Add SSR DPNA code in the reservation at the time of booking and explain the nature of the disability in detail (for example Alzheimer, autism) in the description field.
