Destination guide to the spectacular Asian metropolis

Singapore is like a miniature version of Asia. The island has skyscrapers, historical buildings, rainforest and sandy beaches. The fascinating mixture of Chinese, Indian and Malay culture is visible everywhere in Singapore, from the narrow streets of Chinatown and Little India to the mosques and temples. A great place to get a bird’s eye view of the city is to view it from the 165-metre high Singapore Flyer observation wheel at night.

The cuisine that combines the flavours of three countries and the international gourmet restaurants have earned Singapore a reputation as the culinary capital of Asia. Also, the malls of Orchard Road and Suntec City are a considered a legend by shoppers and the Singapore Sling at the Raffles hotel, built in colonial times, is as good as it was a hundred years ago.

The Singapore Zoo night safari, Jurong Bird Park and the Underwater World Aquarium are exhilarating places to visit for both adults and children. The riverside pubs on Boat Quay, Robertson Quay and Clarke Quay are an excellent place to start off an evening, and from here you can continue to the world-famous Zouk nightclub.
