Geishas are professional entertainers who enchant guests with traditional Japanese music and dance during meals and banquets. They seldom pose for a photo and tend to disappear like beautiful, fleeting butterflies into ochayas, exclusive tea houses where only regular customers and their guests are admitted. When geishas do pause for a photo, it’s a rare privilege.
