Finnair is returning to normal ticket rules 1 June 2022 onwards

Finnair will return to normal ticket rules for bookings made as of 1 June 2022. It is finally easier to hold on to your travel plans, as the coronavirus pandemic has moved to a new phase with a high vaccination coverage and travel restrictions being removed across countries.

Thus, we are ending the exceptional flexibility we offered to booking changes during the pandemic. The flexible booking policy is valid until the end of May 2022: when you book your tickets by 31 May 2022, you can change your travel dates as many times as you need without a change fee until 31 May 2022 – and one more time after that. The easiest way to make changes is online through the Manage booking service. Please see the conditions to do so here.

If you have booked your flight from 1 June 2022 onwards, you can change your travel plans with normal ticket rules depending of your ticket type. When you want flexibility for reservation changes, we recommend you to choose our Flex or Classic ticket. Flex ticket is the most flexible one as it is fully refundable and allows travel date changes. Our Classic ticket includes the option to change travel dates. Worried about getting sick before travel? Finnair Cancellation Cover brings extra flexibility for Light and Classic ticket holders, as it allows you to cancel your flight and apply for a refund in case you cannot travel due to sudden sickness or accident to you or a close family member.
