Paris – holiday in the city of infinite possibilities
France

An extraordinary, silver-coloured building stands in the middle of the park. Its walls are decorated with shapes that look like flying birds. Opened in 2015, Philharmonie de Paris is a music centre designed by the “starchitect” Jean Nouvel. Besides symphonies, the programme includes jazz and world music. Another new edifice in Paris is the cultural centre Fondation Louis Vuitton, designed by Frank Gehry.
Paris never stops surprising even the most seasoned city traveller. While Paris is already bewildering because of the sheer number of its world-class attractions, more are always on the way. There are so many existing monuments that even several trips are never going to be enough to see all of them.
Or have you been to Sainte-Chapelle yet? It is the mediaeval chapel known for the most beautiful stained glass windows in the world. Not to mention the amazing Musée du quai Branly, dedicated to the indigenous cultures and arts of Africa, Asia, Oceania and the Americas? Paris is a city of infinite possibilities, worth visiting time and time again: a holiday in this city has always something new to offer.
