You don your chest armour and an ornamental helmet. Glory and adventure await! At Osaka Castle, you can see what it was like to be a samurai.
Osaka is a metropolis full of experiences. Besides the handsome samurai castle, Osaka’s attractions include some of Japan’s oldest Buddhist temples and Shinto shrines as well as Kaiyukan, one of the world’s largest seawater aquariums.
When travelling with children in Osaka, you can’t miss the Universal Studios theme park, where the highlights include the Wizarding World of Harry Potter.
As a destination, Osaka is a great alternative to the capital city of Tokyo. Japan’s third largest city, it offers the busy pulse of a metropolis, restaurants and shopping centres and is only 30 minutes by train to Japan’s key cultural destination, Kyoto. Osaka also beats Tokyo in terms of cuisine: Osaka is not called “Japan’s kitchen” for nothing.
