Sorrento – holiday by the Gulf of Naples
Italy

Mount Vesuvius! Naples, the birthplace of pizza! Pompeii buried in ash! Capri and the Blue Grotto! The Amalfi Coast!
Sorrento is close to many sights worthy of an exclamation mark. Sorrento’s great location between Naples and Amalfi makes it a perfect base for exploring the sights in the area.
There is simply too much to see on one holiday in Sorrento. With all these options, where should we go on a day trip? Sorrento’s old town alone is such a delightful place that you don’t really want to leave. The views from the top of the steep cliffs open up across the entire Gulf of Naples. Sorrento’s main square, Piazza Tasso, has several cafés to while away the evening, and the narrow historical alleyways invite you for a stroll. The main street Corso Italia is great for shopping.
Swimming is easy from the waterfront piers. No wonder people keep returning to Sorrento.
