Entry requirements to Russia
The Russian authorities have introduced requirements for customers arriving in the country.
Please note that the entry restrictions are subject to change on a short notice. As a traveller you are always responsible for ensuring that you fulfill the requirements of your destination and possible transit country.
Nationals of Russia and holders of valid residence permits issued by Russia are eligible to enter the country without restrictions, but there are restrictions in place for foreign travellers arriving in Russia. Below you can find more information on the current entry requirements. You can also contact the nearest Russian Embassy to find out if you are eligible to travel to Russia
- You are eligible to enter Russia from or via Finland, if you are:
- a Russian national or a resident of Russia.
- a family member of a Russian national.
a national or a resident of Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Cuba, Egypt, Ethiopia, Finland, Germany, Greece, India, Japan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Maldives, Qatar, Serbia, Seychelles, Singapore, South Korea, Sri Lanka, Switzerland, Syria, Tajikistan, Tanzania, Turkey, the UK, the UAE, Uzbekistan, Venezuela or Vietnam.
Please note that even if you are eligible to enter Russia, you may, depending on your nationality, need to obtain a visa prior to travel. Kindly contact a Russian Consulate for further information.
E-visa issuance is currently suspended, if you require a visa to enter Russia, you need to obtain a sticker type visa from a Russian Consulate.
All customers travelling to Russia or transiting via Russia to a third country, are required to have a negative corona-PCR test result taken earliest 72 hours before departure.
- The certificate must be written in English or Russian.
- The requirement does not apply to you if you are a Russian national.
