Entry requirements to the UK

The UK authorities have introduced requirements for customers arriving in the country.

Please note that entry restrictions may be subject to change on short notice. You are responsible for ensuring that you are allowed entry into the country you are travelling from, to or are in transit through.

  • You are required to complete an online Passenger Locator Form (PLF) before travelling to UK via this page. You can provide the information earliest 48 hours before your journey.
  • Please take with you a print or a screenshot of the PLF confirmation document, that you receive via email once you have completed the online PLF-form. You will be required to show the print/screenshot to the airline agent at the gate and to the authorities upon arrival. Please note that missing the document will result in denied boarding from the flight.
  • You are required to hold a negative coronavirus test result taken earliest 3 days before arriving in the UK. This requirement does not apply to children under the age of 11.
  • The following coronavirus tests are accepted:

    • PCR-test taken earliest 3 days before the flight’s departure

    • LAMP-test taken earliest 3 days before the flight’s departure

    • Antigen test taken earliest 3 days before the flight’s departure

  • The negative test result must be written in English, French or Spanish and must contain your full name (as in your travel document), date of birth, test result, test method, date and time of testing, and the party issuing the certificate (company name and contact details).
  • As of 15 February 2021, if you are travelling to London or Manchester, you are required to pre-purchase a post-arrival coronavirus PCR-test package from the UK government’s website and self-isolate for 10 days after you arrive in the UK. To be accepted on the flight to London or Manchester, you need to show proof of having purchased the UK government’s post-arrival test-package to the airline. In addition, you need to have taken a coronavirus test earliest 3 days prior to travel.

  • As of 15 February 2021, if you are travelling to London and you have visited a red-category country in the last 10 days, you are required to pre-purchase a mandatory hotel quarantine package from the UK government’s website (in this case you do not need to purchase the post-arrival test package, as it is included in the hotel quarantine package). To be accepted on the flight to London, you need to show proof of having purchased the UK government’s hotel quarantine package to the airline. You can read more information here. In addition, you need to have taken a coronavirus test earliest 3 days prior to travel.

  • As of 15 February 2021, you are not allowed to enter the UK via Manchester if you have visited a red-category country in the last 10 days. You can check the list of red-category-countries here

  • As of 15 February 2021, if you are travelling to Edinburgh (Scotland), you are required to pre-purchase a mandatory hotel quarantine package from the UK government’s website, regardless of which countries you have visited in the last 10 days prior to travel. To be accepted on the flight to Edinburgh, you need to show proof of having purchased the UK government’s hotel quarantine package to the airline. You can read more information about the quarantine hotels here and quarantine rules here. In addition, you need to have taken a coronavirus test earliest 3 days prior to travel.
