Entry requirements to Hungary

- Please note, that only nationals of Hungary, their spouses and children, and holders of permanent residence permits, are allowed to arrive in the country.
- Also, foreign nationals, who are members of international and humanitarian missions, part of military convoys or business and diplomatic delegations are allowed to enter the country. You need to apply for official approval prior to travel from the embassy.
- Transiting via Hungary to a third country is allowed for EU-citizens and EU-residents who are returning home. The onward connection must be on the same day.
- Returning Hungarian nationals who have travelled abroad must self-isolate for 14 days of quarantine upon arrival. At the end of quarantine, you will be tested twice for Covid-19.
