Special diet

If you have special dietary requirements, let us know in advance and we will provide you with a suitable meal. Please submit your order no later than 24 hours before departure.

Special meals are available on all Finnair operated intercontinental flights and in Business Class on our European flights. If you’re travelling in Economy Class on one of our European flights, you can purchase your meal from our on board food and beverage options, featuring also products suitable for different dietary needs.

Meal options

Meals suitable for people following the below diets.

Low fat and mildly seasoned meal. Cabbages, onions, cucumber, bell peppers, legumes, apples etc. are avoided (not suitable for individuals with allergies, meal might contain said ingredients in e.g stocks and seasonings)

Low fat and low sugar meal.

Might contain gluten free wheat starch and gluten free oat. Not suitable for individuals allergic to the wheat related crops.

Low fat and low sugar meal.

Prepared from low salt ingredients.

Prepared from lactose-free ingredients, not suitable for individuals with milk allergy.

Meal is prepared respecting Hindu dietary habits and beliefs. Does not contain beef, veal, pork, raw or smoked fish.

Seasoned vegetarian meal with limited use of dairy products.

A meal containing only kosher foods and prepared by a reputable specialist Kitchen.

Does not contain pork, pork by-products, gelatin, alcohol, alcohol containing spice extracts, fish meat from species without scales or fins.

Soft and easily recognizable food. Available in Business Class and in intercontinental flights Economy Class.

Contains fresh fruits and berries. Available in Business Class.

Collection of raw vegetables, fruits and berries. Available in Business Class.

A meal containing fish and shellfish. Available in Business Class.

Vegetarian meal which does not contain animal products, meat, fish, poultry, gelatin, milk, egg, honey
