Baggage Fees and Optional Travel Fees
The following table contains baggage allowances and extra-bag and heavy-bag fees for Finnair flights. Each fee is for flights in one direction.
Fees are in euros, EUR, or the equivalent local currency where the excess fee is collected. When departing from Canada, the fees quoted are collected in CAD. When departing from USA, the fees quoted are collected in USD.

Baggage allowance for children
A child with his or her own seat has the same basic baggage allowance as an adult travelling in the same travel class. An infant is allowed to have one piece of baggage weighing the maximum of 23 kg. Exception: when travelling with the ticket type Economy Light, infants do not have baggage allowance, but a folding pushchair and safety seat may be transported free of charge. If needed, checked baggage can be added separately for a fee.
In addition, children and infants can have a folding pushchair and safety seat free of charge.

The amounts displayed are service fees only. Any extra fare penalties will be advised at the time of making your change or refund.
The service fee for flight tickets purchased online is based on the departure country of the journey. The name change fee depends on both the country of departure and destination.
Service fees may be converted to local currency.

Service fees can be checked from the website for each country.
Change fee depends on your ticket fare type. If you have a changeable ticket the change fee is between $0- $400. In addition to the change fee, the fare difference (if applicable) and a reissue fee are collected when the routing or fare type changes.
You may reserve an Economy Class seat in advance for flights operated and marketed by Finnair (the flight number in the ticket starts with AY and the ticket number starts with 105). Read more about Select Your Seat

Service in Business Class on Finnair flights is always free of charge.
The food service is free of charge in Economy Class on intercontinental flights. Snacks are also sold onboard for a fee of $3-$5. Drinks are free of charge, except hard liquors and sparkling wine, which are sold for a fee of $8. On flights to and from New York and Bangkok, wine and beer with the meal are free of charge, and sold for a fee of $6-$13 after the meal service.
On short-haul flights in Economy Class food and beverages can be bought from the Sky Bistro selection for a fee of $3–$20
Coffee, tea, water and blueberry juice are served free of charge on all Finnair operated flights.
Optional service charges on Finnair (AY) code-share flights operated by other airlines may differ from Finnair's charges. Please check the operating carriers' website for further information.
