For SSRs requiring manual confirmation our aim is to process them as quickly as possible. From time to time there might be congestions with incoming SSRs and we ask for your patience. In urgent cases for nearby departures you may contact your local Finnair Travel Agent Help Desk.
In scenarios with journeys well in the future and you need to issue the ticket due tight ticketing time limit and the SSR is not confirmed yet, Finnair is flexible. If the request for PRM*-passengers is declined due the quota is full on booked and ticketed flight, we can offer alternative flights without charge; same routing and the original AY/AY flight can be changed to AY/AY flight on the same day or +/- couple of days. If the situation so requires, also full refund may be offered. Please contact your local Finnair Travel Agent Help Desk for rebooking and consultation.
If you have doubts whether the SSR has transferred to Finnair queue or not you can check this by using the RTQ -command. More info available on HE RTQ.
*PRM = Passenger with reduced mobility and is recognized by the following SSR-codes: WCHR, WCHS, WCHC, BLND, DEAF, MEDA, DPNA.
There is a fare filing error that causes a problem when pricing same day departures. This concerns Pro and Business class fares.
The problem will be solved by tomorrow. Due to this automatic fare quote problem, manual pricing may be done without contacting Finnair.

Some facts about the new product:Economy Comfort is a new seating option within long haul economy class, NOT a 3rd cabin class.
All seats are free for PRO fares, but are charged for H class for joint business fares. However, due technicalities also AJB/SJB have free seating until further notice.
Instructions will also be updated here shortly.
More information about the co-operation
can be read in this PowerPoint-presentation. Below detailed information about the seating onboard the train and check-in
procedures at the railway stations. Shortly there will be an own Finnair+train

Since the seating in Amadeus is made according to a "flight-seating" -mode, the customer will see a pseudo -seating number in the reservation itinerary and e-ticket itinerary. In the PNR on the SSR-lines you will however see correct seating. Therefore it is very important you inform the passenger the corresponding actual seat number onboard the train. The seating is always in coach number 2 and you can insert in the PNR on RIR (will show in reservation itinerary) and RIZ (will show in e-ticket itinerary) -lines the coach number and seating number.
Cryptic entry for Amadeus:
RIR YOUR SEAT ON THE TRAIN IS 35 IN COACH NUMBER 2
RIZ YOUR SEAT ON THE TRAIN IS 35 IN COACH NUMBER 2
You can before and after the RIR/RIZ -lines containing the seating information also insert RIR/RIZ -lines containing only '*' to increase the visibility.
seating for the flights according to normal processes.
-In St. Petersburg the check-in is done in the railway
station. After you have shown the passport to the clerk and it has been checked, you will be allowed to move to the platform area and coach number 2.
-In Helsinki you can go directly to the train and coach number 2.
Check-in document for the train is the passport. It is
also good to have with a copy of the electronic ticket and if possible the
seat-map converter. Naturally visa(s) must be brought with (and possible other
travel documents depending on the nationality of the passenger).
The documents will be checked by both Finnish and Russian immigration officials; in good time before crossing the border and after crossing the border.
