Delayed baggage deliveries after 26 February

Due to an unexpected walkout by Finnish Aviation Labour Union (IAU) at Helsinki Airport on 26 February, there have been severe delays in handling both departing and arriving baggage.

We are very sorry for any inconvenience this may have caused you. We do our best to deliver your baggage to you as soon as possible.

If your baggage didn’t arrive on the same flight with you on 26 February, we will contact you as soon as your baggage is ready for the delivery. You then have two options:

  1. If your destination was Helsinki and you are based nearby, you can come and collect your baggage from Finnair Cool Cargo terminal (Turbiinitie 4, Vantaa) during the following times:
  • 28.2.2020 13-18
  • 29.2.2020 10-18
  • 1.3.2020 10-18
  • 2.3.2020 10-20

Before arriving at Finnair Cool Cargo terminal, please check at www.finnair.com/bag. that the status of your baggage is “BAG RECEIVED AT AIRPORT”. You can also contact us by phone at 09 818 9100. We’re sorry that the phone service is congested.

2. In other cases, we will deliver your baggage to the address you’ve provided us. You can report on you delayed baggage, update your contact information and follow the status of your baggage at www.finnair.com/bag.

Please note that handling all the baggage may take several days. We thank you for your patience.
