Can you hear a sound from the past? It is from the wings of Finnair's airplanes! From the end of July until the New Year, Finnair will be flying 1950s style to three Finnish and several European cities. Shining metallic color, a blue stripe on the side, and "Finnish Airlines" emblazoned on its side add the final touches to the stylish retro plane, which joins our fleet for many years to come. The airplane was named Silver Bird following a naming competition; what could be a more appropriate name for this clean-lined bird!
Our return to the past is not limited to the exterior of the plane. Our cabin crew will be decked out in uniforms from the 1950s, and takeoff will take place to the beat of music from the era.
The retro flights are operated between July 30th and December 31st, 2008. Finnair will offer a total of 61 special retro flights with retro cabin crew. Please acquaint yourselves with the current list of flights.

Fly 1950s style
