Bergen, the second largest city in Norway, is known for its spectacular fjords and busy harbour. The attraction of this almost millennium-old city is based on its incredibly beautiful location. The Fløybanen funicular railway, which departs from the city centre, takes you up 300 metres. From there you can enjoy a truly breath-taking view over Bergen's skyline.
The spectacular fjords
Around Bergen you'll find some of the most stunning natural sights in the world. The majestic fjords rise from sea level to the clouds and are sure to conquer the hearts of even the most seasoned traveller. Spend an athletic day out hiking up to the top of the fjords and enjoying the view. Those who prefer a less energetic day can enjoy a relaxing trip on one of the many ships that cruise along the fjords.
