How do I join Finnair Plus?

Finnair Plus is Finnair’s frequent flyer program. You can join by filling in the Finnair Plus membership application form or when booking your flights. Members under 18 years of age are enrolled in the Junior Plus program.

Can I open a Plus account for my business or family?

Finnair Plus membership is personal, meaning that no collective membership is available for families, businesses, organisations or other groups. For further details of the Finnair Plus programme and membership, please read more on About Finnair Plus section.

 

 

What is my user name and password?

If you are logging in for the first time or you haven't changed your user name, your user name is your Finnair Plus membership number stated in your Finnair Plus card without the AY-code and space characters.

Your password will be sent to you by mail together with your temporary Finnair Plus card. Password has four digits. If you have joined Finnair Plus in the Internet, you have chosen your password yourself.

 

 

What do I do if I've lost my user name and password? 

If you’ve lost your user name, then you can retrieve it by providing your surname and e-mail address. Your user name will be sent to you by e-mail or SMS message. If you’ve lost your password, then you can retrieve it by providing your user name and surname. Your password will be sent to you by post, e-mail or SMS message.

How do I update my adress and other details?



At My Finnair Plus account section you can update your other address and contact details and give us permission to contact you by e-mail or SMS message.

 

How do I check my points balance?

At My Finnair Plus account you can check your current points balance and the expiry dates of points that you have collected, and you can monitor the tier points that you need to collect from flights with Finnair and other oneworld™ airlines during your tracking period to proceed to the Finnair Plus Silver, Gold and Platinum tiers.

 

 

How are points recorded in my account? 

Points are credited to your account automatically when you give your membership number on booking a flight and show your Finnair Plus membership card at check-in. You will receive points from the Finnair Plus partners if you show your Finnair Plus membership card when using their services. It's a good idea to keep all documentation until these points are credited to your account. For more information and details of possible exclusions:

Can I get points for Finnair Leisure flights?

Finnair Leisure flights departing from Finland (ticket codes AY1001-2999) earn points for your account, provided that you remember to show your Finnair Plus membership card when checking in for the outgoing leg of the flight in Finland. The points for the entire round trip Leisure flight will then be credited to your Finnair Plus account.

How can I reclaim missing points?

Save your flight ticket stubs, e-ticket itinerary and original boarding passes until the points collected from flights appear in your account. On Missing points? page at My Finnair Plus account section you can directly enter any points from Finnair scheduled flights that are still missing from your account after three weeks from the date of the flight.

 

 

How can I use the points I have collected and how many points do I need for awards?

You may use your Plus points for awards provided by Finnair and the Finnair Plus partners. The available awards and required points are shown in the awards table. All of your points remain valid for five years. You can receive awards if you have enough points in your account.

 

 

Can points be combined and transferred to the account of another member?

Finnair Plus membership is personal, and so it is not possible to combine points or transfer them to the account of another person. Awards may be used by the Finnair Plus member and by the member's next of kin and other persons living in the same household.

 

 

When do my points expire?

Your points will remain valid for five years after flying. Expired, unused points are automatically deleted from your account.

Your points statement shows details of the expiry dates of points. Points do not expire if used for an award reservation before the expiry date. The award may also then be used after the expiry date, provided that the reservation/purchase was made before this date.

 

 

When do I advance to the next Finnair Plus tier? 

Your points statement includes details of your tracking period and of your tier points balance from flights with Finnair and other oneworld airlines enabling you to proceed to the Finnair Plus Silver, Gold and Platinum tiers.

 

 

Are there any restrictions on point collection? 

You will collect points from scheduled flights with Finnair and the Finnair Plus partners, provided that the carrier entry on your ticket shows the airline code of the partner in question and an aircraft in the fleet of a Finnair Plus partner is used for the flight. Please note that points are not granted for all booking classes. No points are granted for complimentary, contractual, award, barter or travel agency discount tickets. No points are granted for the flight tickets of children under two years of age not occupying a seat. Other Finnair Plus partners also impose restrictions. For example, no points are granted for discount car hire or special price hotel stays. Points may only be collected for one regular customer programme at a time. Award travel, rewards from Finnair Plus partners and other discount services are not eligible for points.

I've lost my Finnair Plus card. What should I do?

You may order a replacement Finnair Plus membership card online through the Finnair Plus website or from the Finnair Plus service centre. You will receive the replacement card by post within about three weeks. You should also check that your address details are correct at this time. Your Finnair Plus membership number will remain the same, and you may use this number even if the replacement membership card has not yet arrived.

 

 

Could you tell me about taxes on Finnair Plus award travel and how to pay them? 

Finnair Plus award tickets are subject to taxes and to passenger and other surcharges imposed by local public authorities. Taxes may be paid by credit card.
