The selection of products on our flights is of high quality, affordable and extensive, considering the limited space and weight restrictions on the aircraft. Purchases can be made after the meal and beverage service, if there is enough flight time. The product selection is listed in the Finnair Shop brochure available in the seat pocket, as well as via the personal entertainment system in the Business Class of intercontinental flights.

The product selection on the flights includes cosmetics and fragrances for both men and women, gift items for adults and children, confectionary, jewellery and games and toys for children. On intercontinental flights, special products, alcohol and tobacco products are also available for purchase.

Non-EU destinations


You may purchase tax-free products, alcohol and tobacco on the aircraft when you fly to destinations outside the European Union. These destinations also include the Canary Islands and the island of Jersey served by the Leisure flights.

Destinations within the EU


You can purchase gift items, cosmetics, fragrances and confectionary, but not tobacco or alcohol, on scheduled flights to European destinations listed below (in the text frame). Purchases are usually not possible on the Embraer aircraft. In Europe, alcohol and tobacco products are only sold on routes to and from Geneva and Zürich. On flights within the EU the products are affordable but not tax-free.

Pre-orders for the return flight


A pre-oder catalogue is available in the seat pocket on all flights on which you may order products for your return flight. You may make pre-orders to all intercontinental flights and to the return flights towards Helsinki from the above mentioned European destinations. Pre-orders for European return flights have to be made at least 3 days before the return flight departs and at least 5 days before the intercontinental flight departs.

Finnair Plus benefits for purchases onboard

 

  • Finnair Plus Platinum, Gold and Silver members receive 10% discount on purchases made onboard Finnair international scheduled or Leisure flights to or from a country outside the European Union (also for special offers).
  • Finnair Plus Platinum, Gold and Silver members receive 5 Plus points for each euro spent, when the total amount of the purchase exceeds 15 euros, regardless of the destination.
