Economy Class


In the Economy Class of the Boeing MD-11 aircraft, you can use the wireless satellite phone available on the cabin wall and on most aircraft a fax machine is also available.

Each seat on the Airbus A340-300 and A330-300 aircraft is equipped with a telephone and a laptop power outlet that does not require an adaptor. Passengers can send text messages and short e-mails to networks on the ground and call other passengers on the same flight, using the satellite phone of the entertainment system in the seat. Replies sent from the ground can be received on the aircraft. Each message costs US$2 and a call to the ground costs US$7/minute; however, calls to other passengers are free.

Business Class

 

Business Class offers versatile options for working during the flight. Spacious seats, lots of legroom and tabletops, create a personal and peaceful space. Our extensive selection of newspapers allow you to stay updated on the latest financial news and other topical issues.

Boeing MD-11

  • The seats in Business Class are equipped with a power outlet for a laptop computer and other electronic devices. There are a few adaptors onboard that you can request to borrow from the cabin crew. Laptop computers can only be used when the fasten seatbelt sign has been switched off.
  • There are several public telephones on the wall by the cabin doors. The user instructions on the wall are in English and the phones give instructions in Finnish, Swedish and English.
  • These satellite phones can be used for calling networks on the ground using American Express, Diners Club, MasterCard or Visa credit cards.
  • The minimum charge for satellite calls is one minute (US$7), after which the charges are incurred at half minute intervals, at the rate of US$3.50 each.
  • Some Boeing MD-11 aircraft are equipped with a fax machine on the Purser's workstation that allows him or her to send passenger faxes to the ground. Receiving faxes is not possible. The cost per minute of sending a fax is the same as that of making a satellite call.
  • On the Boeing MD-11 entertainment system, the reverse side of the manual control acts as a satellite phone receiver. The phone provides instructions in Finnish, Swedish and English. The phone menu, in the entertainment system, includes user instructions for the phone in English.

Airbus A340-300 and A330-300

  • The personal entertainment system telephone on the Airbus A340-300 and A330-300 aircraft allows you to call, send text messages and short e-mails to networks on the ground and to call other passengers on the same flight. Replies sent from the ground can be received on the aircraft. Each message costs US$2 and a call to the ground costs US$7/minute; however calls to other passengers are free.
  • Each seat is equipped with a power outlet for a laptop computer. A separate adaptor is not needed.
