Service by class
Business Class
In Business Class, you have more services and options available than in Economy Class. These include, for example, the following:
- You can pick a check-in method for an international flight that best suits your needs, from the selection of fast and flexible options.
- You are allowed more baggage at no extra charge, than Economy Class passengers and a Priority tab is attached to your baggage making claiming your suitcases much faster.
- The lounges are at your disposal for work and rest, at all Finnair scheduled flight destinations (also applicable to the Finnair Plus Platinum, Gold and Silver members).
- On European flights your outbound flight may be in a different class than the inbound flight – for example, fly to your destination in Economy Class and return in Business Class.
- You may also board your return flight from a different city, in three areas: Finland, Scandinavia and the Baltic countries, as well as the rest of Europe.
- Changing and cancelling flights is more flexible and last minute seat availability is better than with Economy Class.
- On Boeing MD-11 and Airbus A340-300 aircraft, Business Class is equipped with lie-flat seats.

Economy Class
When you fly in Economy Class, you enjoy all the basic services on the flight, but pay less for your tickets than those in Business Class. In Economy class, only round-trip tickets are available and there are certain restrictions to the advance purchase period, ticket change and cancellation rules.
You can return from a different city in Economy Class and on oneclass routes as well, in three regions: Finland, Scandinavia and the Baltic countries, as well as the rest of Europe. The check-in options for Economy Class are described in the Check-in section.
