Freshening up
Business Class
In Business Class on intercontinental flights you have a personal space in which to relax and rest during the flight, thanks to the larger seats and greater legroom. On these long flights, all passengers have their own blanket, pillow and a blanket cover and pillowcase set. In Business Class on European flights, there are a few blankets and pillows available.
Adjusting the Airbus A340-300 and A330-300 aircraft lie-flat and full-flat seats is explained in the personal entertainment system onboard the aircraft.

On flights to and from Japan and South Korea, a pair of travel slippers is handed out to each passenger.
The lavatory is equipped with a moisturiser, shaving items and terry cloths for makeup removal.

Exercise can freshen you up on long flights
You can print out these exercise instructions and bring them along on the flight. A few simple stretching movements are explained in the "Blue Wings" magazine located in the seat pocket.
- During long flights you should stand up and stretch your legs by walking around approximately every hour. Long periods of immobility may cause circulation problems especially in pregnant women and passengers suffering from varicose veins and blood-clotting disorders.
- Wear loose, non-constrictive clothing on long flights.
- Compression socks improve circulation in your legs and make you more comfortable during long flights.
- Make sure to drink enough fluid. A sufficient amount is 0.5–1 litre of water or juice per hour.
- Avoid consuming alcohol as it dehydrates you even more.
