As a Finnair Plus member you enjoy a personal and flexible service and many valuable benefits. Membership is free and you can immediately begin collecting the Finnair Plus points that entitle you to awards. By flying more you reach higher tiers and qualify for a wider range of benefits.
You earn points by using the services of Finnair and the Finnair Plus partners. Be sure to give your membership number whenever you book a flight and to show your card at check-in and when using the services of Finnair Plus partners.
Basic-level member benefits
Basic-level member benefits apply to all Finnair Plus members.
- Collect Finnair Plus tier points from Finnair flights and all scheduled flights with oneworld airlines.
- Enjoy mobile services that make travelling easier – check in or upgrade your travel class by text message.
- Receive service messages of any flight irregularities directly to your mobile phone.
- Check your points balance, update your travel profile, check in for flights and redeem awards online whenever it suits you. Finnair Plus online services are available around the clock.
- Use your points for flights with Finnair and other oneworld airlines, hotel awards and car hire, or select from a wide range of Finnair Plus partner services.
- Enjoy waiting list priority according to your membership tier. This benefit applies to Finnair operated international scheduled flights when you have a reservation in the Finnair quota (Finnair aircraft and AY prefix on the ticket) and a waiting list is available. It is not transferable and does not apply to award reservations.
- Use your points for travelling. Take advantage of great value money+points offers, redeem Classic flight awards for points alone, or pay for Any Seat flight awards with your chosen combination of money and points.
- Buy travel packages to a wide range of Finnair Plus scheduled flight destinations.
- Give points to family members or donate them to charity.
- You can subscribe to Finnair newsletters and get the latest offers, news, your points balance and other interesting information by e-mail.

- When your total purchases exceed €15, you earn five Plus points for each euro spent at Finnair Tax-Free Plus Shops.
Silver tier member benefits
As a Silver member you can enjoy the following benefits in addition to basic member benefits:
- Earn 10 per cent more Finnair Plus points for Finnair flights thanks to the Silver tier points bonus.
- Use the Priority Lane to accelerate security checks in Helsinki, Stockholm and New York.
- Enjoy a 10 per cent discount from your total regularly priced purchases at Finnair Tax-Free Plus Shops when travelling on scheduled Finnair flights outside Europe. When your total purchases exceed €15, you earn five Plus points for each euro spent at Finnair Tax-Free Plus Shops and on international Finnair flights outside the EU.
- Enjoy a 5 per cent discount on all regularly priced products at Finavia duty free shops.
- Check in at the Business class check-in desk when travelling on a Finnair operated flight with a ticket issued under the Finnair quota (Finnair aircraft and AY prefix on the ticket).
- Use oneworld Business Class check-in when travelling on scheduled flights with any oneworld airline, regardless of travel class.
- Take 40 kg of baggage regardless of travel class for flights booked before 1 September 2010. For flights booked after 1 September 2010, you can take two checked-in items of baggage when travelling in Economy Class and three items when travelling in Business Class or with Y or B Economy Class fare class. Maximum weight for each item is 23 kilos. You must be booked on a Finnair operated scheduled flight and your ticket must be issued under the Finnair quota (Finnair aircraft and AY prefix on the ticket). This benefit is not transferable and does not apply to animal transport.
- Enjoy Finnair lounge services regardless of travel class when travelling on a scheduled Finnair flight (AY prefix on the ticket). This benefit is not transferable.

Gold tier member benefits
As a Gold member you can enjoy the following benefits in addition to basic member benefits:
- Earn 15 per cent more Finnair Plus points for Finnair flights with the Gold tier points bonus.
- Use the Priority Lane to accelerate security checks in Helsinki, Stockholm, New York and Bangkok.
- Enjoy four one-way upgrades on Finnair scheduled flights to European destinations. You may also exchange the four European scheduled flight travel class upgrades for one upgrade on a one-way long-haul flight, or for one Classic flight award (two for the price of one) in Economy Class on Finnair flights. The Classic flight award is entirely paid for with Plus points, and two people can use this benefit for the flight award points charge of one person. This "Two for the price of one" flight award can also be used on one-way flights. This benefit does not apply to Finnair Junior Plus flight awards.
- Secure a confirmed seat in Business or Economy class by placing your reservation no later than 48 hours before departure. Finnair guarantees confirmed seats in European scheduled Business booking classes J, C and D, and in scheduled European and long haul Economy booking classes Y.
- Enjoy a 10 per cent discount from your total regularly priced purchases at Finnair Tax-Free Plus Shops when travelling on scheduled Finnair flights outside Europe. When your total purchases exceed €15, you earn five Plus points for each euro spent at Finnair Tax-Free Plus Shops and on international Finnair flights outside the EU.

- Enjoy a special baggage benefit: You may take either one set of golf equipment (clubs, bag), one set of skiing equipment (skis, sticks, shoes, bag) or one set of diving gear (pressure tanks must be empty) free of charge on Finnair leisure flights and international scheduled flights. Your ticket must be issued under the Finnair quota (Finnair aircraft and AY prefix on the ticket). This benefit is not transferable. Free carriage of special baggage on Finnair leisure flights must be notified in advance by e-mailing edut.lomalennot@finnair.fi no sooner than 45 days and no later than 8 days before departure. The notification should give the name, membership number and tier of the Finnair Plus member, and the destination, date of travel, booking reference and flight number. Finnair cannot guarantee free transportation of special luggage on Finnair leisure flights unless this prior notification has been made.

Platinum tier member benefits
As a Platinum member you can enjoy the following benefits in addition to basic member benefits:
- Earn 25 per cent more Finnair Plus points for Finnair flights with the Platinum tier points bonus.
- Use the Priority Lane to accelerate security checks in Helsinki, Stockholm, New York and Bangkok.
- Finnair Plus points do not expire during Platinum membership.
- Enjoy four one-way upgrades on Finnair scheduled flights to European destinations and two one-way travel class upgrades on Finnair long-haul flights. You may also exchange the four European scheduled flight travel class upgrades for one upgrade on a one-way long-haul flight, or for one Classic flight award (two for the price of one) in Economy Class on Finnair flights. The Classic flight award is entirely paid for with Plus points, and two people can use this benefit for the flight award points charge of one person. This "Two for the price of one" flight award can also be used on one-way flights. This benefit does not apply to Finnair Junior Plus flight awards.
- Use Finnair Plus points to upgrade the travel class of accompanying family members (up to 3 persons) from Economy to Business class when purchasing a Business class ticket – the point charge for an upgrade on long haul flights is 50,000 Plus points and 10,000 on flights in Europe. These family members must have already purchased Economy class flight tickets, and the points charge applies to return flights only.
