Rovaniemi
Rovaniemi is the northernmost city in Finland, as well as the official home town of Santa Claus. During the summer, this remote outpost is a great destination for outdoor types, and activities such as canoeing, rafting and fishing are extremely popular. Towards the end of the year, when the forests are ablaze with striking autumnal colours, the region offers spectacular hiking opportunities.
