Copenhagen

Copenhagen really lives up to the lyrics of the famous song Wonderful, Wonderful Copenhagen. The colourful houses, patio restaurants and sailboats of the Nyhavn harbour, the famous roller coaster and gardens of Tivoli and the Little Mermaid statue sitting by the ocean are sure to capture a traveller's heart. Europe's longest car-free street, over one kilometre long, the Strøget, is a shopper's paradise.
One of the oldest capitals in Europe, Copenhagen is also a dynamic hub of modern art, architecture and design, with the collections of the Arken and Louisiana museums ranking at the top internationally. Royal splendour can be found at the Amalienborg castle and the Renaissance-era Kronborg Castle, also immortalised in Hamlet. The best venues for a night out can be found in the trendy area of Vesterbro and the multicultural Nørrebro.
