Travel documents

At various points during your journey you will be required to prove your identity with a valid travel document. Different countries and regions may require different types of travel document.
Many countries require that your passport is valid for three or six months after your trip has ended. To find out about such requirements, contact the embassy of your destination country nearest to you.
Always ensure that your first and last names are spelled in the same way on your flight ticket, passport and any frequent flyer cards you may have.
During security check, you may be required to present proof of your intention to travel, so you must prepare for this eventuality beforehand. Usually this means showing your flight ticket, reservation confirmation or boarding pass. For more detailed information, see Security control.
