Check-in times

For the check-in times of Finnair flights, see Destinations. For flights operated by any other airline, including our partners, the check-in times of the airline in question apply. Please reserve plenty of time for check-in, baggage drop, security control and getting to your gate.

Check-in without baggage

If you only have carry-on baggage and are travelling on a domestic flight departing from Helsinki Airport, you can check in at the Transfer Service desk in the gate area; if you are departing from any other airport in Finland, you can check in at the departure gate.

Travel documents needed at the airport

When checking in at a Finnair check-in desk, you will need your e-ticket and either a valid passport or another travel document; requirements will depend on your destination.

Special check-in desk for families with children and passengers needing assistance

A special check-in desk is available at Helsinki Airport for families with children, children travelling as unaccompanied minors and passengers needing special assistance (such as wheelchair users). This check-in desk is labelled “Special Passengers” and marked with the corresponding international symbols.
