Next December Finnair will supplement its double-daily winter service to Bangkok with three additional frequencies per week from 30 December 2014 to 27 March 2015. The extra flights bring the number of Finnair’s peak-season weekly Bangkok services to 17, the most frequencies of any European carrier.
The additional flights are scheduled to depart on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday evenings. AY091 departs from Helsinki Airport (HEL) at 20:15 for arrival at Bangkok’s Suvarnabhumi Airport (BKK) at 11:00 local time the next day. AY092 leaves Bangkok on Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays at 12:45 for arrival in Helsinki at 18:55 local time. The new evening frequencies, operated with Airbus A340 aircraft in a two-class Business and Economy configuration, offer excellent connections with other cities in Finland, Scandinavia, France and Germany. Together with the daily Bangkok flights AY089 (departure at 16:40) and AY095 (18:30), the three extra flights constitute an intensive traffic program giving passengers a wide range of choices and connectivity throughout Finnair’s network.
“Thailand has long been a popular destination for Finns and other Northern Europeans, and adding capacity will help us meet this enduring – and growing – demand,” says Finnair’s CEO Pekka Vauramo. “As the European airline with most weekly frequencies to Bangkok and several other Asian destinations, we are on track to double our revenue from Asian traffic between 2010 and 2020.”
Finnair offers up to 28 frequencies per week to three cities in Japan and 28 to five cities in China. Delhi, Hanoi, Seoul and Singapore round out Finnair’s other Asian destinations that seamlessly connect to a network of more than 50 destinations in Europe via Helsinki.
Next winter we will open a new direct route between Helsinki and Miami, Florida. The new seasonal service will be operated three times a week with an Airbus A340 aircraft. Flights will start 16 December 2014 with two weekly frequencies on Tuesdays and Thursdays. The third weekly frequency will be operated on Saturdays from 3 January 2015 onward. All three weekly flights will continue until 21 March 2015.
AY007 will leave Helsinki (HEL) on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 09:55 and arrive in Miami (MIA) at 14:05 local time. AY008 departs Miami at 16:00 and arrives in Helsinki at 08:50 local time the next day. The flight from Helsinki to Miami lasts approximately 11 hours while the return journey takes less than 10 hours. The timetable connects well with passengers transferring from other cities in Finland, Estonia and Sweden.
“Services to Miami with codeshare partners have always been popular, and the time is now right to offer a direct non-stop route in the winter season in addition to these services,” says Finnair CEO Pekka Vauramo. “Finns love Miami and southern Florida, and there is a sizeable Finnish expatriate community in the region. At the same time, this new direct route also gives us the opportunity to develop Finland and Lapland as exotic winter tourism destinations for Americans.”
The route between Helsinki and Miami International Airport will be included in the joint business on transatlantic traffic with the oneworld alliance partners American Airlines, British Airways and Iberia. This gives customers the possibility to mix and match flights on the different carriers for the best pricing and scheduling. For example, an itinerary could include a non-stop flight to Miami in one direction, but a connecting flight through New York, Madrid or London in the other, if the timing is more convenient. Finnair’s cooperation with the three other carriers also means that Miami is yet another gateway to dozens of North American destinations.
Miami, with a population of over 400,000 in a metropolitan area of more than 5 million, is at the centre of the largest urban area in the south-eastern United States. The region is famous for its beaches and leisure activities, as well as its top-tier entertainment, sporting and cultural attractions. Mobile boarding passes can now be opened also in the Passbook application, available for iPhone and iPod touch devices that have iOS6 or newer.
Mobile boarding passes are in use at most Finnair airports. Passengers can send a mobile boarding pass to themselves in online or mobile check-in. A link to the mobile boarding pass will also be sent via automatic check-in, if the use of mobile boarding pass is permitted at the departure airport.
The link to a mobile boarding pass is sent via SMS or email. If the phone has Passbook, the link automatically opens the mobile boarding pass in the application where it can be saved. If the boarding pass information is updated later (changes in gate or seat, for example), it will not automatically show in Passbook. Instead, the mobile boarding pass needs to be reopened using the original link in order to show the latest information.
The mobile boarding pass can only be opened or saved in Passbook when the device is connected to the internet. After being saved, the mobile boarding pass can be opened whenever and wherever needed without internet connection.
Finnair and its fellow oneworld alliance members Japan Airlines and British Airways are now selling joint fares between Europe and Japan for travel starting 1 April 2014. For customers this means more flexible routing options and the possibility to mix and match flights on all three carriers for the most convenient scheduling and best pricing.
Currently, Finnair flies from Helsinki to Tokyo every day, and to Osaka and Nagoya five times per week, connecting Japan to more than 50 Finnair destinations in Europe. During summer, also the routes to Osaka and Nagoya will be operated daily.
Both Japan Airlines and British Airways are increasing their scheduled services between Japan and Europe this summer, as well as improving the flight timings. From May, with two additional weekly services British Airways will fly twice a day to Tokyo with daily flights to both Haneda and Narita airports. Japan Airlines will also launch new daytime nonstop flights between Haneda and London on 30 March 2014.
Carried out over the Christmas and New Year period, the 18th Change for Good collection for UNICEF on Finnair’s international flights once again lead to a heartening result.
During the six-week long campaign period, Finnair’s customers donated a total of 55,490.93 euros in the special envelopes placed in aircraft seat pockets and collection boxes at Helsinki Airport. Additionally, Finnair Plus customers donated more than 2 million Finnair Plus points to UNICEF. “Warm thanks to all our customers who have once again given their support to our traditional Change for Good collection,” says Arja Suominen, SVP Corporate Communications and Corporate Responsibility. “I also want to thank our employees and partners who have participated in the collection. The campaign targeted the UNICEF Schools for Asia program. We believe that education is the foundation of a better future."
UNICEF's Schools for Asia campaign supports children's schooling in Bangladesh, Bhutan, China, East Timor, India, Laos, Mongolia, Nepal, Papua New Guinea, the Philippines and Vietnam. The campaign aims to provide children with qualified teachers, safe and clean school facilities, and well-designed curricula that include life-skills education in health, nutrition, hygiene, sanitation and HIV prevention. In order to achieve permanent and positive change, UNICEF works together with local authorities and village communities.
Finnair Plus loyalty customers can donate their points to UNICEF throughout the year. All spare coins can also always be dropped off at any of the permanent collection boxes around Helsinki Airport.
Since 1994 Finnair and its customers have donated over 1.2 million euros to UNICEF.
Finnair and the biggest tour operators in Lapland have agreed a three-year cooperation arrangement for flights to Lapland as well as cooperation in marketing. Finnair will significantly add to its Lapland flight schedule in November 2014 with the start of the winter traffic season.
The number of flights especially from Helsinki to Kittilä, Ivalo and Kuusamo will increase. Timetables have been drawn up to provide good connections on the routes between Lapland and destinations in Europe and Asia via Helsinki.
"The demand for traffic to northern Finland comes with the growth in tourism, and by offering more flights we want to offer the possibility to experience the magic of Finnish Lapland for both Finnish and international passengers," says Rolf Backman, responsible for Finnair's domestic sales. "Asian tourists represent a growing travel category and they have expressed an interest in the Northern Lights, for instance, as well as other Lapland experiences."
"We have been in regular conversation with local tour operators and together we've been trying to find solutions, with the help of which we can develop Lapland as a travel destination," Backman continues. "Cooperation helps us to optimize our traffic for the operating benefit of customers in Finland and those from elsewhere as well as for the whole travel chain. With the help of strong cooperation within that travel chain we can achieve even better sales of Finland as an interesting travel destination."

US Airways will join oneworld® as of 31 March 2014, following completion of its merger with alliance founding member American Airlines.
All its regional affiliates, operating under the US Airways Express brand, will also transition to oneworld at the same time.
US Airways will add 60 destinations to the oneworld map – most in the United States but also three in Canada and one in Mexico. The key hubs of US Airways are Charlotte, Philadelphia, Phoenix and Washington DC’s Reagan National, expanding oneworld’s presence across the United States.
Until the full integration of American Airlines and US Airways, which will see the combined airline retaining the American Airlines name, US Airways and its regional carriers will operate as oneworld affiliate members under the American Airlines umbrella. They will offer oneworld’s full range of services and benefits – although some may be phased in shortly after US Airways joins. US Airways, American Airlines and their oneworld partners are working to provide the most popular benefits and services on an accelerated timeline.
The 140 million members of established oneworld airlines’ frequent flyer programs, including Finnair Plus, will also receive alliance services and benefits when flying on US Airways from 31March. From day one this will include the ability to earn mileage and tier status points and, for Emerald and Sapphire cardholders, to access US Airways’ lounges when flying on oneworld departures, although the ability to redeem rewards for flights on US Airways may be phased in shortly afterwards.
US Airways’ network will also be covered by oneworld’s range of alliance fares – the most extensive offered by any of the global alliances.
The addition of US Airways represents the latest landmark in oneworld’s biggest membership expansion yet. Other elements include the forthcoming transition into oneworld by SriLankan Airlines and Brazil’s TAM. With the addition of these airlines, the oneworld network will expand to almost a thousand destinations in more than 150 countries, served by over 14,000 daily departures – equivalent to a oneworld flight taking off or landing every three seconds around the clock – carrying 475 million passengers last year and generating annual revenues of US$ 140 billion.
The operations to new terminal are postponed until end of January 2014. Until further notice all Finnair flights are operated from the terminal 2 at the Pulkovo International Airport in St. Petersburg.
Finnair’s summer traffic schedule includes flights to three new seasonal destinations: Pisa, Biarritz and Alanya. In addition Finnair will fly more often to Düsseldorf, Zürich, Antalya and Vaasa. Flights to Xi’an in China continue on 30 March 2014 and to Hanoi in Vietnam on 2 June 2014.
Starting from Midsummer Finnair will operate two weekly flights to Pisa in Italy and to Biarritz in France. Finnair is also doubling its daily frequencies to Düsseldorf and Zürich from two to four flights a day.
In addition Finnair will operate three weekly flights to Alanya in Turkey from April to August. Finnair already flies to Antalya, which will also have additional frequencies next summer. Flights to Turkey operate eight times per week in total and most of the flights are during the daytime. Finnair is the only airline to operate scheduled non-stop flights from Finland to Antalya and Alanya.
Extra frequencies will also be added to Vaasa with an evening flight departing at 18.10 from Helsinki, serving a demand from the local business market. Finnair will then operate six daily flights to Vaasa.
To serve extra demand, extra flight frequencies are also being added to Copenhagen, Dubrovnik, Malaga, Paris, Rome and Tel Aviv in the period from June to August. Popular destinations returning to the summer schedule include Toronto, now operated with the upgraded Airbus 330 aircraft from 1 June to 21 September, and Chicago as a codeshare with oneworld partner American Airlines.
Finnair will also open a new route to Tromsø for the 2014 winter season onwards. This arctic city in the far north of Norway will be served from Helsinki three times a week from 1 January until 28 March 2014.
Finnair’s traditional Change for Good collection in cooperation with UNICEF is once again being carried out over the holiday period on international flights. This year the collection target is the UNICEF Schools for Asia program, aiming to provide basic, quality education to children in 11 countries in Asia.
A special focus will be on marginalized and vulnerable children living in remote areas or regions of extreme poverty.
During the collection period, beginning today 25 November and lasting until 5 January 2014, passengers are able to place cash donations in any currency or denomination, including small value coins, in special envelopes provided in aircraft seat pockets. Cabin crew members will collect the envelopes during the flight and deliver them to UNICEF.
Throughout the year, Finnair Plus cardholders can donate their points to the Finnish Committee for UNICEF. Extra coins can also always be dropped off at permanent collection boxes around Helsinki Airport.

Finnair celebrates its 90th anniversary on Friday, 1 November 2013. The world’s fifth-oldest airline still in operation, Finnair was established in 1923. Today, Finnair specialises in flights between Europe and Asia, offering direct connections from Helsinki to over 60 European destinations and 13 Asian destinations. Over eight million passengers per year fly on Finnair’s modern Airbus fleet.

Finnair will celebrate its 90 years of flying in various ways. As one of the special events to mark its jubilee year, Finnair will distribute a special Finnair-themed edition of the Donald Duck comic book to all passengers on long-haul flights on Friday, 1 November. Finnair has also commissioned a special batch of posters by Finnish graphic designer Erik Bruun to celebrate its 90th anniversary.
As part of the jubilee year, Finnair has renewed its service concept and now uses tableware and textiles designed by Marimekko for Finnair on all flights in both Business and Economy Class. In addition, Finnair launched cooperation with two renowned Finnish chefs, Pekka Terävä and Tomi Björck, in September. The entertainment systems of Finnair’s aircraft have also been upgraded, nearly doubling the selection of entertainment on long-haul flights with 72 films and over 150 television programmes available in both Business and Economy class.
Finnair is harmonising its fleet and became the first airline to take delivery of the new Airbus 321 Sharklet aircraft in September. Finnair is also installing new, fully reclining seats in most of its long-haul fleet from January 2014 onwards.
In spring 2014, Finnair will open a new Premium Lounge at Helsinki Airport. The Premium Lounge will be located next to the existing Finnair Lounge between gates 36 and 37 in the non-Schengen area and will complement its services. As part of the renewal, a sauna and private showers will be opened between the lounges, and a new tax-free shop will be opened in front of the existing Finnair Lounge.
Finnair has received international recognition in its anniversary year: we became the first airline to be selected in the Leadership Index of the global Carbon Disclosure Project on carbon dioxide emissions. Finnair has significantly upgraded its range of inflight entertainment.
As part of a larger drive of updates to the customer experience as Finnair approaches its 90th birthday on 1 November, Finnair has significantly upgraded its range of inflight entertainment.
On long-haul flights, Finnair is nearly doubling its inflight entertainment options, with a choice of 72 movies and more than 150 TV shows now available on demand in both Economy and Business Class. Inflight entertainment is included in the price of the ticket in both classes on all long-haul flights.
Meanwhile, on Finnair’s new Airbus A321s with Sharklets, which are mostly operated on medium-haul and leisure or charter routes, passengers are now able to hire Samsung Tab 3 tablet computers at a cost of €10. The tablets come preprogrammed with dozens of hours of video and music, as well as games and newspapers.
“Tablet computing clearly has the potential to revolutionize inflight entertainment, as tablet systems are much lighter and easier to keep up to date from an operations point of view, while also offering the customer a much richer and more interactive entertainment experience,” says Jouni Oksanen, Finnair’s Director of Customer Entertainment. “If tablet-based entertainment proves to be successful on these new aircraft, we will of course continue to evaluate the possibility of implementation across the fleet.”
Finnair has also recently expanded and improved upon its award-winning lounge services at Helsinki Airport, while the Marimekko for Finnair collection of pillows, blankets, headrest covers, napkins and tableware is now standard in all Finnair aircraft, both long haul and short haul. Earlier in September Finnair also announced new Signature Meals in Business Class created by top Finnish chefs Tomi Björck and Pekka Terävä. As of January 2014, Finnair will also begin to retrofit most of its aircraft to provide seats that convert to fully flat beds in Business Class.
Finnair opens a new Premium Lounge directly adjacent to the award-winning Finnair Lounge near Gate 36 in the non-Schengen area of Helsinki Airport.
The Premium Lounge, designed by Helsinki-based dSign Vertti Kivi & Co, will be open in spring 2014 to complement the original Finnair Lounge, which routinely ranks in lists of the world’s top airline lounges. The new facility will be available to Finnair Plus Platinum and Gold members and their guests only, as well as frequent flyer cardholders with equivalent status at a fellow oneworld airline. All customers however may enjoy completely new private shower suites and a Finnish sauna. An exclusive Finnair Tax-Free Shop will also be opened next to the lounges, serving all non-Schengen passengers.

Additionally, at the non-Schengen Finnair Lounge, a more exclusive list of premium champagnes and liquors are also available for a charge. Joseph Perrier Cuvée Royale Brut Champagne is complimentary for Finnair Plus Platinum members and other Emerald-level oneworld frequent flyer cardholders.

Finnair has been named Best European Airline at the 24th annual TTG Travel Awards, a prestigious yearly occasion in the Asia-Pacific travel industry that recognises exemplary organisations that raise the bar of excellence in travel and tourism in the region.
Punctuality, service quality and hassle-free transfers were all factors in favour of Finnair being given the honour by readers of the publications TTG Asia, TTG China, TTG India, TTGmice, TTG-BTmice China and TTG Asia Luxury.

From October 1 Finnair will supplement its complementary meal and snack service on European flights with optional, paid pre-order meals. On the menu there will be four hot meals plus one fresh salad to choose from:
The meals will be offered to Economy Class passengers on all European scheduled flights, including those operated by Finnair’s partner Flybe Finland, with the exception of Finnish domestic flights and service to Stockholm, St. Petersburg, Tallinn, Riga and Vilnius. Flight segments from Madrid to Helsinki are also excluded for operational reasons. The meals are unavailable in Business Class, as Business Class tickets already include an upgraded meal.
The meals cost EUR 10 if ordered in advance, or EUR 12 if bought on board. Only a very small selection of meals will be available for purchase on board, however, so customers are advised to order in advance to avoid disappointment. At present passengers can order the meals by logging into the My Booking section of the Finnair website, but in future customers will be able to place their order at the time of booking as well.
For passengers who do not choose to pre-order a meal, light meal or snack service in Economy Class on all European scheduled flights longer than two hours remains complementary and in effect. Also as before, on shorter flights customers can enjoy complimentary coffee, tea and juice and can buy selected items from the snack menu.

As part of a meal service renewal underway at Finnair, Business Class customers will be able to enjoy new Signature Menus created by well-known Finnish chefs Pekka Terävä and Tomi Björck.

"Both Pekka and Tomi have a fresh style that is distinct from the mainstream. “My menu is influenced by the purity of Finnish nature, taking advantage of Finnish natural ingredients such as seasonal vegetables and wild game and fish," says Terävä, whose menu includes such Finnish specialties as reindeer fillet with mushroom puree, oven-baked potatoes and organic barley.
"My chosen ingredients are meant to reflect the passion in modern Asian cuisine," says Björck, whose menu is inspired by Thai and Japanese food and offers both meat-based dishes and vegetarian options, such as butternut squash dressed in a symphony of Asian spices. Japanese ramen noodles and spicy salmon complete his menu.
Specially selected prize-winning wines complement both Signature Menus.
The Signature Menus will be introduced on Business Class long-haul flights throughout the autumn excluding Chongqing, Xi´an and Hanoi.
Tomi Björck’s award-winning restaurants in Helsinki include the Asia-inspired Farang and Gaijin as well as the Mediterranean-focused Boulevard Social. Farang Stockholm opened in February 2013.
Pekka Terävä is chef at Helsinki’s Michelin-starred Restaurant Olo, where fresh and pure ingredients are combined to create modern Scandinavian cuisine.

As a full member of the alliance, Qatar Airways provides its customers with all oneworld services and benefits. Finnair Plus members, like the members of all other oneworld membership programmes, will earn points on Qatar Airways flights, as well as receive all other oneworld benefits, such as access to lounge areas.
Qatar Airways is the 13th full member of oneworld, and it brings over 20 new destinations and five new countries to the oneworld selection: Ethiopia, Iran, Ruanda, Serbia and Tanzania. The alliance is expanding more rapidly than ever before. Malaysia Airlines joined earlier this year and Sri Lankan Airlines will follow next year. Also, the Brazilian TAM and other LATAM companies that are not yet oneworld members are also joining the alliance. In addition, US Airways is planning to leave the Star Alliance and join oneworld as it merges with American Airlines, but this shift still requires confirmation.
With Qatar Airways and other newcomers the oneworld services now cover approximately 3,500 aircraft, nearly 1,000 airports in over 150 countries, approximately 14,000 flights per day and 480 million passengers per year. The total turnover of the alliance is at approximately 140 billion US dollars.
Qatar Airways was accepted to the alliance with the sponsorship of British Airways and after a thorough evaluation by the British company of its preparedness to join the core alliance.
Finnair became the first airline to receive an Airbus A321 Sharklet aircraft on 6 September. The new extended-range, single-aisle A321 equipped with new, fuel-saving Sharklet wing tip devices has the lowest fuel-burn, emissions and noise footprint in its class. Three out of the five orders for the A321 with Sharklets are due by the end of this year, with the remaining two expected to enter the fleet in the first half of 2014.
The new Airbus A321s with Sharklets will replace Finnair’s four Boeing 757s that have been used mainly for leisure and charter flights, enabling more flexibility and interoperability between European scheduled and leisure flights. The new aircraft also complete Finnair’s shift to an all-Airbus fleet, bringing further cost efficiencies in maintenance, pilot training and flight operations.
The wing tip devices, Sharklets, significantly increase fuel efficiency by decreasing the blade tip vortex. The blade tip vortex is one of the most significant factors in an aircraft’s air resistance. Thanks to the Sharklets, the new aircraft consume five per cent less fuel per seat when compared to the other A320 aircraft and up to seven per cent less than the Boeing 757 aircraft.

The first A321 Sharklet aircraft, registered in Finland as OH-LZG, flew from the Airbus facility in Hamburg to Helsinki Airport on 6 September, arriving at 18:50.
Finnair offers extra flights on Finnish domestic routes during the Christmas season. We will operate 19 additional flights between 21 December 2013 and 4 January 2014, and thus provide an opportunity to fly to Lapland during Christmas season also for those holidaymakers, who have not yet bought their tickets.
During Christmas time, Finnair will operate six additional return flights to Rovaniemi and Kittilä, and seven to Ivalo. We will also offer three additional flights to Amsterdam and Malaga. More information on flight departure times and dates can be found on Finnair’s website.

The Finnair Tax-Free Shop at the Helsinki Airport near gate 28 is renewing itself. Duty free shopping will extend to the second floor, where a unique lifestyle shop will open in September. The shop’s alluring brands include the Danish Georg Jensen Design, as well as Finnish Balmuir, Lovi and Marimekko. Bags, shoes and clothes by Ted Baker, Guess and Liu Jo offer both men and women inspiring shopping possibilities, while the popular Muumi and Angry Birds products are available for children.
The renewed Finnair Tax-Free Shop also includes the airport’s largest wine shop with its expert personnel. And, as always, there is also a large selection of perfumes and novelty cosmetics available. The Finnair Tax-Free Shop caters to international flight passengers.
Finnair will open a new route to Tromsø for
the 2014 winter season. The arctic city in the far north of Norway will be
served from Helsinki three times per week from 1 January until 28 March 2014.
Fares will be available to book from 10 July.
Situated directly under the aurora zone in the arctic, Tromsø is ideally placed for viewing the spectacular aurora borealis (northern lights) on clear winter nights. The town of 70,000 is also a base for winter sports such as downhill skiing, snowshoeing, dog and reindeer sledding, and glacier hiking. Tromsø, or Romsa in Sami languages, is also a centre of Sami culture in Norwegian Lapland and hosts Sami Week every February.
Due to the warming effect of the Gulf Stream, from January to March the city is relatively warm for the arctic, with average highs of around 2–4 degrees centigrade and lows of about –6.
Flights are scheduled Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays for departure from Helsinki (AY2679) at 20:15 and departure from Tromsø (AY2680) at 21:55 local time. The route, operated on behalf of Finnair by Flybe Finland with Embraer E90 aircraft, takes approximately two hours.
Tromsø represents a new addition to the oneworld alliance global route network.
Business Class baggage allowance on intercontinental flights will increase. New allowance will be applied to all customers in Business Class on Finnair intercontinental flights on and after 2 July 2013.
At the same time Finnair will implement tiered excess baggage rates. Each customer has the baggage allowance of minimum one piece of baggage, max weight 23 kg, free of charge. If in excess, extra-bag or heavy-bag charge is collected. Combining the allowances of separate tickets is not possible even among family members.
Finnair has joined the transatlantic joint business founded by fellow oneworld alliance members American Airlines, British Airways and Iberia. As of tomorrow, 2 July, Finnair customers flying to North America can book flights to dozens more North American cities on one single ticket. Customers of the other three airlines now also have better access to 13 cities in Finland and the rest of Europe, thanks to efficient Nordic and Baltic connections from Finnair’s Helsinki hub.

As part of the transatlantic joint business, Finnair has added its (AY*) code to selected American Airlines, British Airways and Iberia flights between North America and Europe. American Airlines, British Airways and Iberia have also added their respective (AA*), (BA*) and (IB*) code to Finnair’s daily flights between New York and Helsinki. All together, the joint business now operates up to 102 daily round trips between North America and Europe, serving 42 gateways on either side of the Atlantic. Customers also have access to a further 163 onward connections in North America and 126 in Europe.
More flying Finns
Because of Finnair’s comprehensive European route network, besides New York and Chicago, Finns now have the ability to book efficient, competitively priced one-stop connections to dozens more North American destinations via stopovers in such European cities as London, Madrid and Milan. Finland and the Baltic Rim is now much more accessible for North American travellers as well.
