Rovaniemi

Finnair has scheduled flights to Enontekiö, Ivalo, Kemi, Kittilä, Kuusamo and Rovaniemi in Lapland. Here, in Santa Claus's home territory, reindeer roam free and each season has its own magical appeal. In the winter, the northern lights offer quite a spectacle in the dark sky, and clean white snow softly covers the fjells. Powder snow is aplenty far into the spring in the Saariselkä, Levi and Ruka ski resorts, ranked among the best in Finland. In addition to skiing, why not try a dog sleigh or snowmobile safari, snowshoeing or ice climbing!
In the summer, activities such as canoeing, white-water rafting and fishing are available for adventurers. The autumn is the best hiking season when the forests of Lapland are ablaze with the splendour of leaves changing colour. Year-round attractions in Lapland include the Santa Claus Village in the Arctic Circle, the Arktikum exhibition centre in Rovaniemi and the Siida National Museum of the Finnish Sámi in Ivalo.
My travel
Must see:
The midnight sun from mid-May until the end of July.
Fun fact:
In contrast to the summer midnight sun, the northernmost part of Lapland remains in complete or semi-darkness from the end of November until mid-January, so the northern lights are on display almost every night!
